LIQUID RING PUMPSLiquid Ring pumps have an impeller with fins attached to a central shaft, that is mounted eccentrically inside a cylinder body. The working principle is very much the same as rotary vane pumps for this reason. When working the impeller pushes the liquid sealant (water) to the outside of the cylinder body using centrifugal force, hence forming a liquid ring at the outer edge of the cylinder body. Applications include: De-Gassing, Vacuum Forming, Extruding machines, Vacuum Holding, Pottery, Chemical/Pharmaceutical plus many others. |
