VacAir supplies Rietschle two-piece replacement carbon vanes for the DTB 500 and VTB 500 dry-running rotary vane pumps and compressors. Each rotor slot uses two separate carbon vane pieces, identified as Vane A and Vane B.
Vane A measures 70 × 91 × 6 mm (OEM 527133 / 526392), while Vane B measures 380 × 91 × 6 mm (OEM 524134 / 526393). Together, the two pieces provide a combined length of 450 mm per rotor slot.
IMPORTANT – TWO-PIECE VANE ARRANGEMENT
Both DTB 500 and VTB 500 pumps have 5 rotor slots, each containing 1 × Vane A and 1 × Vane B. A complete replacement requires 5 × Vane A plus 5 × Vane B – 10 individual pieces in total. All vanes must be replaced together as a complete set.
The two vane types have different part numbers and dimensions and must not be confused or treated as interchangeable. Confirm both components and the pump model before ordering.

The Rietschle DTB 500 and VTB 500 use a two-piece carbon vane arrangement. Each of the five rotor slots contains one short Vane A and one long Vane B, giving a combined nominal length of 450 mm per slot. During servicing, inspect both vane pieces in every slot for excessive wear, fractures, chipped edges and uneven contact marks. All five A pieces and all five B pieces must be replaced together. Before fitting replacement vanes, check: ✓ All five rotor slots and free vane movement ✓ Internal running surfaces for scoring ✓ Bearings and rotor condition ✓ Inlet filtration and contamination ✓ Signs of overheating or uneven wear Check the correct positioning and orientation of both vane pieces against the manufacturer’s service instructions. Do not replace only one component of a pair or mix new and worn vane pieces. Engineering advice:
If either vane piece has fractured or jammed, inspect the complete rotor assembly and running surfaces before restarting. Remove carbon fragments and identify the cause of failure. Always replace the complete ten-piece set. |

VacAir’s experience in industrial vacuum equipment and replacement parts helps customers identify suitable carbon vanes by OEM reference, dimensions and pump application.
For DTB 500 and VTB 500 pumps, identifying both components of the vane assembly is particularly important. The 70 mm Vane A and 380 mm Vane B have separate OEM references and are fitted together in each rotor slot.
By bringing the four OEM references together on one master product page, VacAir provides a clear reference for the complete two-piece arrangement and the ten components required for a full replacement.
Customers can also access technical assistance, workshop repairs, vacuum pump servicing and other replacement components from our specialist team.
Our Price Promise reflects our commitment to competitive pricing, supported by practical engineering knowledge and customer service.
Each rotor slot contains two separate carbon pieces, Vane A and Vane B. Together they form the specified two-piece vane arrangement with a combined length of 450 mm.
Vane A is OEM 527133, with alternative reference 526392. It measures 70 × 91 × 6 mm.
Vane B is OEM 524134, with alternative reference 526393. It measures 380 × 91 × 6 mm.
The DTB 500 has five rotor slots and requires 5 × Vane A and 5 × Vane B, making ten individual pieces for a complete replacement.
The VTB 500 also requires 5 × Vane A and 5 × Vane B, a total of ten pieces.
No. All ten vane pieces must be replaced together. Do not mix new and worn pieces within the rotor.
