VacAir supplies replacement carbon vanes for the Elmo Rietschle VTB 500 dry-running rotary vane vacuum pump. The VTB 500 has 5 rotor slots, with 2 carbon vane pieces fitted in each slot. A complete replacement therefore requires 10 pieces: 5 × Vane A and 5 × Vane B.
Planning VTB 500 maintenance or responding to a pump breakdown? Contact VacAir for assistance identifying both vane types and arranging urgent delivery options.
Specialist technical support and urgent delivery options.
VacAir supplies replacement carbon vanes for the Elmo Rietschle VTB 500 dry-running rotary vane vacuum pump. Unlike models fitted with a single carbon vane in each rotor slot, the VTB 500 uses two vane pieces per slot.
The rotor has 5 slots, each containing one Vane A and one Vane B. A complete replacement therefore requires 5 Vane A pieces and 5 Vane B pieces, giving 10 carbon vane pieces in total. The recorded vane dimensions are 380 × 91 × 6 mm and 70 × 91 × 6 mm.
Our product records identify Rietschle OEM references 526392 and 527133 for Vane A, together with 527134 and 526393 for Vane B. These references are important when identifying replacement components and checking the correct vane arrangement for the pump.
VacAir also supplies Elmo Rietschle spare parts and provides vacuum pump servicing and repairs.

The Elmo Rietschle VTB 500 uses a paired carbon vane arrangement. Each of its five rotor slots contains two separate carbon pieces, identified as Vane A and Vane B. A complete vane replacement requires 5 Vane A pieces and 5 Vane B pieces. It is important to identify the correct references and fit both types in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. During replacement, inspect: ✓ All five rotor slots for wear and contamination
✓ Free movement and correct positioning of both vane pieces
✓ Cylinder wall and internal running surfaces
✓ Rotor, bearings and associated components
✓ Filters, carbon dust and broken vane fragments
✓ Signs of overheating, uneven wear or vane damage
Important: The VTB 500 requires two different vane pieces in each rotor slot. Do not replace the complete assembly with ten identical pieces. If a vane has fractured, inspect the pump and establish the cause before restarting.
