Technical help and UK stock availability.
The Becker KVT 2.140 is a dry-running rotary vane vacuum pump fitted with 4 carbon graphite vanes. VacAir supplies a complete replacement vane set in the correct 240 × 48 × 4 mm size for this pump.
The KVT 2.140 uses Becker vane identification WN 124-031. For this four-vane configuration, the Becker OEM set reference is 90133400004, with VacAir replacement reference VA901334.
We stock KVT 2.140 replacement vanes in the UK and can also supply filters and other spare parts for the pump. VacAir’s vacuum pump engineers can provide technical assistance where a drop in vacuum performance, increased carbon dust or another symptom has led to the vanes being inspected.

The four carbon vanes inside the KVT 2.140 are wearing components and should be checked during routine pump maintenance. A new WN 124-031 vane has a height of 48 mm, while the minimum wear height is 31 mm.
When replacing the vanes, it is good practice to inspect other areas that can influence vane life and vacuum performance:
✓ Rotor and rotor shaft condition
✓ Rotor slots and vane movement
✓ Cylinder body and internal surfaces
✓ Bearings
✓ Inlet filter condition
✓ Relief valve operation
✓ Carbon dust, contamination and signs of excessive heat
If the old vanes are chipped, broken or have worn unevenly, inspect the pump carefully before fitting the new set. Any fragments or carbon debris should be removed and the underlying cause of abnormal wear investigated.

Loss of vacuum, excessive carbon dust or unusual operating noise may indicate worn KVT 2.140 vanes, although similar symptoms can also result from other pump or system problems.
VacAir has highly experienced OEM factory-trained engineers who can replace the vanes on site or carry out servicing and a full overhaul in our workshop.
If you are unsure whether your KVT 2.140 simply requires a replacement vane set or needs further attention, contact our technical team. We can also supply the filters and other spare parts required for the pump.
