WN 124-249 identifies the carbon vane used in selected Becker DVX, KDX and KVX dry-running rotary vane pumps. Checking the vane code together with the pump model is the most reliable way to establish the correct replacement set.
There are two Becker OEM references associated with WN 124-249. The DVX3.140 uses 90132400007 as a set of 7 vanes, while the KDX3.140 and KVX3.140 use 90132400004 as a set of 4 vanes.
Each new WN 124-249 vane measures 240 × 47 × 4.3 mm. The new vane height is 47 mm and the specified minimum wear height is 31 mm. 90132400004 or 90132400007? Both Becker references use the same WN 124-249 vane. The difference is the number of vanes required by the pump: 90132400007 is the 7-vane set for the DVX3.140, while 90132400004 is the 4-vane set used in the KDX3.140 and KVX3.140. |

|
WN 124-249 vanes are fitted to the Becker DVX3.140, KDX3.140 and KVX3.140. Although the physical vane is the same, the quantity required differs according to the pump model.

VacAir Superstore stocks and supplies Becker WN 124-249 replacement carbon vanes for the Becker DVX3.140, KDX3.140 and KVX3.140 dry-running rotary vane pumps. Identified by VacAir reference VA901324, these carbon vanes measure 240 × 47 × 4.3 mm and are supplied in the correct quantity for the individual pump model.
An important consideration with WN 124-249 is that the same vane is used in pumps requiring different quantities. The DVX3.140 requires seven vanes, identified by Becker OEM reference 90132400007. The KDX3.140 and KVX3.140 each require four vanes, identified by 90132400004. These are not two different vane sizes: the OEM references distinguish the quantity required for the respective pumps.
For maintenance engineers and purchasing departments, this distinction is particularly important when ordering from an older parts list or identifying vanes from their WN marking alone. A WN 124-249 identification confirms the vane type, but the pump model must also be checked to establish whether a four-vane or seven-vane set is needed. VacAir can help confirm the correct quantity before supply.
The height of a new Becker WN 124-249 vane is 47 mm, and the specified minimum wear height is 31 mm. As a dry-running rotary vane pump operates, the carbon vanes progressively wear against the internal cylinder surface. Regular measurement provides a practical way of monitoring their condition and planning replacement before the vanes become excessively worn.
Vanes should be inspected as a complete set. Differences in height between individual vanes, chipped edges, cracks or unusual wear marks may indicate a developing problem within the pump. Once the 31 mm minimum wear height is reached, replace the complete set appropriate to the pump rather than fitting individual new vanes alongside partially worn components.
The WN 124-249 vane is a relatively long carbon component at 240 mm, making careful handling, inspection of the rotor slots and checking for consistent movement particularly important. Before reassembly, examine the cylinder and end plates for scoring, assess the bearings and shaft, and investigate excessive carbon dust, restricted filtration or signs of overheating. These checks can help identify conditions that might otherwise shorten the service life of the replacement vanes.
WN 124-249 inspection and replacement checklist:
|
✓ Confirm WN 124-249 or WN124-249 identification
✓ Identify the exact DVX, KDX or KVX pump model
✓ Confirm the correct four-vane or seven-vane set
✓ Measure each vane against the 31 mm wear limit
✓ Inspect all vane edges for chips and cracks
✓ Check for excessive carbon dust or uneven wear
|
✓ Examine the rotor, shaft and end plates
✓ Check the cylinder running surface for scoring
✓ Inspect bearings for noise or excessive movement
✓ Check the inlet filter and relief valve
✓ Investigate overheating and restricted cooling airflow
✓ Check that each vane slides smoothly into its rotor slot without binding
|
FITTING AND VANE ORIENTATIONBefore fitting new WN 124-249 carbon vanes, isolate the pump in accordance with the manufacturer’s servicing procedure. Remove the existing vanes carefully and inspect the rotor slots for carbon deposits, wear or damage that could restrict movement. Clean the slots thoroughly and confirm that each replacement vane can slide smoothly without binding. The higher edge of the vane is the leading edge, with the chamfer following behind. The accompanying illustration explains the general orientation principle. Always confirm the correct direction of rotation and fitting arrangement against the applicable Becker service instructions before installation. For a DVX3.140, fit a complete set of seven WN 124-249 vanes. For a KDX3.140 or KVX3.140, fit a complete set of four. Do not assume the quantity from the vane dimensions alone, as all three models use the same 240 × 47 × 4.3 mm carbon vane. If the removed vanes show substantial uneven wear, broken edges or evidence of internal contact, the underlying cause should be investigated before the pump is restarted. VacAir’s experienced vacuum pump engineers can provide fitting advice and workshop support where a routine vane change is not sufficient. |

VacAir Superstore supplies Becker WN 124-249 replacement carbon vanes from UK stock for industrial maintenance, scheduled pump servicing and urgent breakdown requirements. We deliver throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide, helping businesses obtain the correct replacement components for their vacuum pumps. For WN 124-249 enquiries, we pay particular attention to the pump model and required set quantity. Correct vane quantities for different Becker pump designs. The WN 124-249 range illustrates why specialist product knowledge matters. Although the DVX3.140, KDX3.140 and KVX3.140 all use the same carbon vane, the DVX requires seven and the KDX/KVX models require four. We recognise both 90132400007 and 90132400004 and can supply the appropriate complete set from UK stock, avoiding unnecessary purchasing errors and delays.
