ELMO RIETSCHLE VTR 140 REPLACEMENT CARBON VANES
VacAir supplies replacement carbon vanes for the Elmo Rietschle VTR 140 dry-running rotary vane vacuum pump. The VTR 140 requires 4 carbon vanes for a complete replacement set.
Each replacement vane measures 245 × 52 × 4 mm. The relevant Rietschle OEM references are 529267 and 529268, with corresponding VacAir references VA529267 and VA529268.
The VTR 140 uses the same carbon vane specification as the VTR 100, with both models requiring four vanes. The 529267 / 529268 vane specification is also used in certain Rietschle DTR and KTR compressors, although those models require seven vanes per pump.

REPLACING ELMO RIETSCHLE VTR 140 CARBON VANES

The Elmo Rietschle VTR 140 requires four carbon vanes. Inspect all four during maintenance and replace the complete set when required. The replacement vanes measure 245 × 52 × 4 mm. Check the existing vanes for cracks, chipped edges, fractures and uneven wear. Before installing new vanes, inspect: ✓ Rotor and vane slots
✓ Cylinder wall and running surfaces
✓ Bearings and rotor condition
✓ Inlet and exhaust filtration
✓ Carbon dust and broken fragments
✓ Signs of overheating or abnormal wear
Important: If a VTR 140 vane has fractured, remove all carbon fragments and inspect the rotor, slots and cylinder wall. Investigate the cause of failure before fitting replacement vanes.
